Are you studying at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and can you imagine continuing to work at the university after you graduate? With our digital information event "Is a doctorate right for me?" we would like to arouse your interest in a doctorate (and the work that is often associated with it as a scientific employee) at the faculty.
Professors and scientific staff of the Geo-, Hydro- and Forest-Sciences will give the opportunity to exchange ideas, provide an insight into their daily work and answer questions about considering a doctorate and a career in academia:
- What are the advantages of doing a doctorate after graduation?
- How do I find a topic that suits me?
- How does a doctorate work and which formalities do I have to consider?
- What are the expectations associated with a doctorate and what challenges will I have to face?
- What tasks await me as a member of the scientific staff?
