Witness another step in international collaboration toward transformative education for sustainable development and follow the festive inauguration of the first Indo-German Joint Master Program "Water Security and Global Change" live on August 13th (10am IST, 6:30am CEST).
The first cohort of students will start its journey at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, before continuing their studies at Dresden University of Technology and RWTH Aachen University - supplemented by contributions of the Asian Institute of Technology and United Nations University-FLORES, to make the consortium of the source of this program complete: the "Global Water and Climate Adaptation Centre - ABCD-Centre"
The realization would have not been possible without the support of the German Academic Exchange Service with funding from the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
The experiences gathered during the development of this innovative Joint Master Program also contributed to the publication "Indo-German Higher
Education Cooperation: Guidelines for Student Exchange, Dual/Double & Joint Degree Programmes" by DAAD India.
As environmental and hence water-related challenges become more urgent and sustainable science-based solutions are necessary in a world of rising geopolitical tensions, this is a hopeful occasion and proof for impactful and forward-looking multilateral cooperation.
