Saxon Dialogue on BiodiversitySaxon Dialogue on Biodiversity: Looking at our Dining Table: How Do our Food Choices Influence the State of Biodiversity?
Prof. Dr. Remmer Sassen - TU Dresden
Biodiversity is essential for the sustainability of our food supply system. It contributes to pollination, pest control, soil fertility, and water quality regulation. According to the Convention on Biological Diversity, a higher diversity of genes, species, and ecosystems leads to a more resilient and efficient production.
The second seminar opens the discussion on how our diet and our choices in the supermarket affect biodiversity on the local, national, and international levels.
The main language of the seminar series is German. Flash talks in English will be supplemented with German subtitles.
