What is the legal basis for the processing of personal data?
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is in particular Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e GDPR in conjunction with. § 14 para. 2 Act on the Autonomy of Institutions of Higher Education in the Free State of Saxony (SächsHSFG) and § 7 and § 8 Saxon University Personal Data Ordinance (SächsHSPersDatVO). In addition to the aforementioned regulations, the rules and regulations of TU Dresden shall apply, in particular the general regulations on the processing of personal data at Technische Universität Dresden (General Regulations VpbD).
Which personal data will be processed?
Without the consent of the data subjects, only the data specified in more detail in § 7 or 8 of the SächsHSPersDatVO will be processed.
How long is personal data processed/stored?
The deletion periods are based on § 18 SächsHSPersDatVO.
Will personal data be transferred to third parties? Who at TU Dresden has access to this data? Will data be stored by third parties?
Unless stipulated otherwise by law or unless you have given your express consent in individual cases, no personal data will be transferred to third parties.
What are the general rights of data subjects?
- Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR)
Data subjects have the right to obtain information on the data processed concerning them, as well as the possible recipients of this data, at any time. They are entitled to a reply within one month of the responsible party for the data processing receiving their request for information. - Right to correction, deletion and restriction (Art. 16 - 18 GDPR)
Data subjects may at any time request that TU Dresden correct or delete their personal data or restrict its processing. Furthermore, there is a right of objection. - Right of appeal (Art. 77 GDPR)
Data subjects can contact TU Dresden's Data Protection Officer at any time and, in the case of a complaint pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, the responsible supervisory authority for data protection. The responsible supervisory authority is:
