POSTDOC forum NExT started at TUD
On November 22, 2022, the kick-off event of the POSTDOC forum NExT in the fields of construction and environment and engineering took place. With the aim of establishing a platform for exchange, networking and further training for postdocs from both structural units in the future, the equal opportunities officers of the two areas invited interested young scientists to a first joint meeting.
The participants were given the opportunity to find out about activities, organizational structures and research priorities in the areas as well as the content of gender equality work. There was input on facts and figures from Peggy Kaiser's controlling. The project scouts from the SG Research Funding Dr. Nicolle Seiffert and Dr. Rico Hickmann gave an insight into the multitude of possibilities for raising third-party funds in the various phases after completing the doctoral thesis. Attention was also drawn to the offers of the Graduate Academy and the European Project Center (EPC). Of course, the networking and the exchange among each other should not be neglected. With snacks and tea, the participants were able to get to know each other better and start a conversation together.
