Research for optimal design within an enterprise
The research focus is on the development of innovative inventory and planning approaches for the optimal design of multifunctional forestry within an enterprise. When developing approaches, particular consideration is given to complementary value performance in the areas of exploitation, conservation and recreation.
Research focus
- Adaptation and implementation of permanent sample inventories and sample-based planning approaches employing type-oriented control samples
- Investigations of target stocking planning with the objective of adapting forestry enterprises to the challenge of climate change using GIS-based orientation approaches
- Value appraisal of standing volumes for the assessment of economic sustainability, enterprise evaluation and accounting
- Investigation of access to new business areas within the forestry enterprise (e.g., wind energy, forest cemeteries)
