Georg Engelmann
3rd semester MA Forest Sciences
Why student council?
Because improvements in everyday study life and events of all kinds don't happen on their own and a good study environment is important to me.
What would I like to achieve?
- Continued good representation of student interests in the Examination Board, StuKo and other committees
- Finally bring out new forest science merchandise
- Contribute to a viable FSR in order to master all upcoming challenges
Elisabeth Viehweger
5th semester BA Forest Sciences
Heijo
My name is Elisabeth, but most people just call me Ella. I love nature, dogs and, of course, forestry.
My motivation
The FSR is the voice of the students! It is there to organize student life in a colorful and fun way, but also to participate in university politics. I want to combine both for you.
My goals for the student council
- Organize a career fair for Forstis
- Organize "Tharandton 2024" (= a charity run for a good cause)
- power socket distributors for the lecture rooms
- Strengthen non-university student life and volunteering
- Give students a voice

I would like to get more involved on campus. I have been active in the Heinrich Cotta Club (HCC) since the 2nd semester and have already helped organize many events for you there. The cooperation with the FSR has always been very pleasant and fun. I would be happy to work with cool people in the FSR and help shape student life there too. If you have any ideas or suggestions, you can contact me at any time.
What are my goals and ideas for the new legislative period?
- Organize events
- Strengthen cooperation between university groups
- Commit to student interests
What are my hobbies?

I would be very happy to help shape life around campus in the FSR with cool and open-minded people.

Specifically, I would like to try to bring more sports activities to our campus,
perhaps even organize a small sports festival with a forest theme. In general, I would like to try to support projects that will help us foresters grow together even more, help each other and be open to new ideas and, of course, to each other. I would also like to get involved in the exchange with other degree programs at the TU and the development of joint interdisciplinary projects.
If that sounds reasonable to you, then I would be honored to work on the implementation of these ideas and your ideas for the field of forest sciences.

The last legislative period is drawing to a close and we can look back on a turbulent year as the Student Council. Due to a lack of manpower, it was sometimes not easy to get everything under one roof. This will change next year.
There are loads of new faces on the ballot paper who are really keen to get involved for us students and present a mixed green image to the outside world.
If you are keen to gain skills such as handling finances, organizing events (Ersti-Pirsch, environmental festival, lectures) or simply have ideas on how to make life on campus more enjoyable, I recommend you take a look at the FSR.
What will happen next year?
This year's student council has already planned a few things that will definitely be continued next year. There will be a forestry merch, another campus festival is planned and I'm thinking about organizing a few excursions or lectures if I'm re-elected. Another idea would be to create a pool where you could see which Bachelor's and Master's theses are currently on offer. Perhaps you are interested in a topic from Tharandt research or can inspire professors with your topic.
But in the end it is your ideas that count and we will try to realize them.
What am I doing outside of Tharandt?
I am said to be a person with many interests but no hobbies. At the moment, I'm thinking about my hunting license. Once I've got my license, I hope to get out into the woods more. Hopefully with a dog too. Otherwise, I try to keep my love of music fresh by singing in the shower. I'm currently taking a theater course and writing when I find the time.
Johanna Totzki
7th semester BA Forest Sciences
My wish for my time on the FSR is to make the study process as stress-free and eventful as possible for all students.
As a contact person, I want to be there for your concerns and wishes. It is important to me to actively work towards solving the big and small hurdles in everyday student life. The preservation and creation of student traditions such as the campus festivals, the Erstipirsch and the Tharandt Talks are particularly important to me. I would like to promote and facilitate cooperation between student associations in order to foster a diverse and vibrant campus community.
I have been a member of the Heinrich-Cotta-Club e.V. for two years: as a board member and being involved in the planning of student events. I enjoy being active in nature, be it as a hunter, for dog training or occasionally with my camera. I am currently trying my hand at the hunting horn and practicing sports.
I would be delighted to become part of the Forestry Student Council!

- Improved communication between the Forstis and professors
- Promote the involvement of international students at Tharandt
- Represent Tharandt and the subject area of forestry internally and externally

Maike Bacik
5th semester BA Forest Sciences
My goals and motivation for the student council
Hello everyone, I'm Maike, in my 5th semester and a newcomer to the FSR. I would like to support and help shape our FSR wherever I can. There's plenty to do. If I get to know you and the university even better in the process, that's great. And if there's any need for creativity and maybe a bit of mischief, I'll definitely be on hand!
Who else am I?
I'm passionate about anything that requires stamina - running, cycling, swimming, hiking and crocheting. I also love eagle owls and once studied art for a few years. Therefore I can pretend to know something about high culture.
Felix Gero Christoph Baron von Galléra
Short introduction
Age: 29 y.
Degree program: Forestry Master & Teacher Training
Semester: 6 (Forestry Master)
Favorite song: Gigi D'Agostino - L'amour toujours
based: yes
incorporated: no
My goals:
> Abolish gendering in official communications of the FSR Forst
> Gendering is not compatible with scientific findings from either a linguistic (PAYR 2021, MEINEKE 2023) or a biological
(VANDERLAAN & WONG 2022) perspective with scientific findings; it is much more an expression of a postmodern worldview according to Judith BUTLER, for example; it is ideology. Members of universities should therefore refrain from participating in language experiments that in their essence fundamentally violate the principles of science, such as objectivity and evidence-based work.
- Do not misuse the FSR's communication channels as a platform for disseminating political content.
misuse the FSR's communication channels as a platform for disseminating political content; most recently, a Green Party event was advertised there!
> Do not allow any further projects with the STURA's "WHAT department".
- Student councils and the STURA are financed by the semester fees. It is therefore inappropriate to use these funds to stir up a mood against student unions;
Their members have certainly not paid for this.
> I am explicitly not woke and also not left-green. If wokes aka. left-green program is conceived by other FSR members, I will try to stop it. The FSR is not a platform for the dissemination of socio-political positions. There are university groups for that.
- More networking between Forstis and Tropicals!
> It almost seems like separate worlds, which is a shame. Perhaps country evenings can be realized at regular intervals
