Multi-trait point pattern reconstruction of plant ecosystems

Chris Wudel, Robert Schlicht and Uta Berger created a powerful tool for generating point pattern data, now published in the journal 'Methods in Ecology and Evolution'. Their method can be easily used to reconstruct forest stands and plant systems larger than those used to collect the inventory data. As a huge improvement to existing methods, this new method considers many patterns in parallel, including the individual locations, more than one associated plant characteristic and their correlations.
