New article about modelling the interplay between vegetation and water in mangroves

The article provides a review on concepts of mangrove stand modelling and presents shortcomings and future challanges. The authors propose to couple above- and below-ground processes to create more realistic mangrove models (see the accompanying paper by Bathmann et al. 2020 for such a coupled vegetation-groundwater model).
