Michael Krell as an expert guest at the Leipzig Media Talks

The 1st Leipzig Media Talk is all about "Strategies against hate online". What are the causes of the increasingly harsh tone on online platforms that journalists in particular are confronted with? Is it due to the often-cited division in society, or are there other causes? But above all: what can be done about it - in the short and long term? The first Leipzig Media Talk presents approaches and concepts on how journalism deals with hate on the internet and discusses which strategies can be successful.

Michael Krell, Research Associate at the Chair of Human Geography, who researches, among other things, the spatial threats posed by right-wing extremist actors to journalists, will be on the panel and will present insights into his research findings as an expert.
