At a Council of Europe conference in Strasbourg, Michael Krell, Research Associate at the Chair of Human Geography, spoke about the negative impact on press freedom caused by attacks on journalists in Saxony by right-wing extremist stakeholders. This took place in the course of the Council of Europe's campaign to protect press freedom, which aims to secure the position of journalists and free reporting by developing political guidelines in Europe.
