Team Outing to Saxon Switzerland
From a plateau above the Häntzschelstiege, we were able to enjoy the view
The 2026 summer semester is drawing to a close—and what could be better than leaving the Hülssebau behind for a morning in glorious weather to explore nature? On July 13, our team set out on a hike through the impressive landscape of Saxon Switzerland.

Our tour started at the Beuthenfall in the Kirnitzschtal valley and took us along the Häntzschelstiege —a via ferrata that really worked us up a sweat with its exposed rock crossings and narrow crevices. Once we reached the top, we were rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of Saxon Switzerland, which we were later able to enjoy once more from the Carolafelsen.

The return trip, which took us through the "Wilde Hölle" among other places, showed us another side of the national park north of the lower Affenstein Promenade: Here, the signs of climate change were visible. Fallen spruce trees partially blocked our path—a striking sign of the changes taking place in our forests.
After an eventful tour, we wrapped up the day leisurely with ice cream in Bad Schandau. A perfect ending to a successful team outing!
