Notes for scientific work
The processing of a topic begins even before the announcement of the respective assignment, because one should already know in advance in which subfield one would like to write or present.
After the assignment, one should deal intensively with the topic. This includes both the definition of terms and the classification in the subject area "land readjustment and land management" as well as the superordinate contexts. Thus, the consideration should not end at the quotation marks, but also extend to (supposed) peripheral areas.
The terms and definitions should not be presented in a detached way. Rather, it is important to provide evidence of one's own understanding and to evoke understanding on the part of the readers and listeners by means of a coherent, self-contained presentation.
An important prerequisite for this are examples that underpin and support the prefabricated theoretical building.
Despite the assistance, consultations, etc. given, students are expected to work largely independently. They are expected to work out the topic in the true sense of the word. This includes, in particular, an intensive literature search, using all the resources available to the modern student (see also: Notes on Literature Research).
The supervisors have the task of guiding them through the topic. They give their hints and suggestions for good reasons and therefore these should be taken into account during the process. In particular, it does not mean that this help is conclusive - no one is omniscient, but the past has shown that students have regularly achieved better results who also had help.
Furthermore, it is important that you raise and identify problems and issues yourself. You should seize the opportunity and take the initiative to move yourself and the issue forward.
