Human and climate drivers of global biomass burning variability
In a new paper published in Science of The Total Environment, we use several climate, vegetation and socioecocnmoic datasets to identify the drivers of the variability in burned area globally.
The work was led by Emilio Chuvieco from the University of Alcala. Matthias Forkel led the analysis based on random forest models and contributed to the methods and writing.
