PolinSAR conference

In Toulouse, France, from 19th to 23rd June 2023, our PhD student Xiao Liu attended the 11th international workshop on science and applications of SAR polarimetry and polarimetric interferometry and BIOMASS workshop (https://polinsar-biomass2023.esa.int/). These two workshops were organised together by European Space Agency. Three main topics were presented by researchers from different institutions: (1) updates about SAR missions, such as BIOMASS, SAOCOM, NISAR, Rose-L, Sentinel-1 Next Generation and TanDEM-X. (2) PolSAR, PolInSAR and SAR Tomography methods. (3) applications of PolSAR, PolInSAR and TomoSAR in forest, agriculture, hydrology, cryosphere, ocean and sea ice. Recommendations for the next PolInSAR workshop was also proposed at the end of the workshop.

Xiao Liu presented his work on Investigating Seasonal Changes in Vertical Canopy Cover Profiles in Temperate Forests Using GEDI and Sentinel-1 (ID: 110) in the poster session.
