- solid density: pycnometry methods (DIN ISO 11508), ultra pycnometer 1000 (Quantochrome)
- porosity und effective porosity: flow experiments using tracers
- TIC- & TOC (loss of ignition)-contents, ph-value (DIN ISO 10693, 19684-3 ISO 10390)
- suction pressure - saturation connections (soil pF curves): pressure pots with pressure plate measurements from 0,1 to 15 bar corresponding to pF 1.8 to pF 4.2 (Soil Moisture)
Determintaion of physiosorption parameters
- measurement of specific surfaces area (BET) according to DIN ISO 9277 as well as micro pore volume and micro surface area of porous samples (Autosorb-1C, Quantochrome)

- carbon and nitrogen isotope bulk analysis in solid samples via coupling the
IRMS to an elemental analyzer EA 3000 (Eurovector) - compount specific isotope analysis (CSIA): carbon isotopes of BTEX and LHKW in water samples via coupling the IRMS to a gas chromatograph GC7890 (Agilent)
- oxygen and hydrogen isotope analysis of water samples via coupling the IRMS to a high temperature pyrolysis oven HT (HEKATech)
Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer IRMS Delta V Plus (Thermo Fisher Sci.) for:
- carbon, nitrogen, sulfur and oxygen isotope analyis of solid samples as well as dissolved sulphate via coupling the IRMS with an EA IsoLink (Thermo Fisher Sci.)
- nitrogen and oxygen isotope analysis of dissolved nitrate and ammonium via
coupling the IRMS to a gas chromatograph Gas Bench II (Thermo Fisher Sci.) - carbon as well as nitrogen and oxygen isotope analysis of methane and nitrogen dioxide trace gases after preconcentration via PRECON (Thermo Fisher Sci.) and subsequent IRMS analysis
