IGW at the start of the REWE Team Challenge 2023

On June 6, seven employees of our institute and one "substitute runner" participated in the Rewe Team Challenge. This annual 5 km company run in Dresden brings together teams of 4 runners from different companies to compete against each other. From our institute there were even two teams at the start. The route led us from the Kulturpalast through the historic city center of Dresden to the finish line in the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadium. Our teams "IGW Run-off" and "The fastest running groundwater" both did very well. The total time of "The fastest running groundwater" was 01h51min, while "IGW Run-off" achieved a total time of 01h33min (Not (only) because this team was more athletic, but admittedly this time only includes the performances of three runners due to a spontaneous drop-out). We were not alone in this event, however, as other colleagues were there to cheer us on and provide photographic documentation. It was a day full of fun and community spirit and new target times for next year are already set.
