43rd IAH International Congress in Montpellier, France, celebrating 60 years of IAH
The 43rd IAH International Congress under the motto “Groundwater and society: 60 years of IAH” took place in Montpellier, France during the 25th- 29th of September 2016. From our group, the conference was attended by Jana Ringleb and Jana Sallwey. The work of the INOWAS project was presented during two oral presentations: “Web-based decision support system for planning and management of MAR sites” (abstract 1761) and “Tracer test to determine natural groundwater recharge at Pirna, Germany and comparison with simulation tools” (abstract 1739) as well as one e-poster “Determination of clogging during managed aquifer recharge operation by laboratory experiments and mathematical models” (abstract 1740). Further project results were presented during the IAH-MAR plenary, where our summer school on MAR was introduced as well as the recent improvements of the MAR portal. The two colleagues also participated in a half- day workshop of the GRIPP initiative (Groundwater Solutions Initiative for Policy & Practice) that the INOWAS group had joined in September.
