Research
Global change poses an immediate threat to water resources worldwide. Our solution for its impact minimisation is the compensation of deficits with sustainable management strategies. The INOWAS Group develops scientifically-based solutions for planning, design and optimisation of managed aquifer recharge applications.

Our approach
The foundation of the Research Group INOWAS is based on two main pillars:
- Experimental
Understanding the processes ocurring during MAR and their variability caused by climate change, urbanization and population growth. For more details see: INOWAS-lab and INOWAS-pilot. - Instrumental
Development of MAR simulation tools for fixing broken hydrological water cycles with focus on scenarios analysis and with regard to the influencing environmental factors. For more details see: INOWAS-web, INOWAS-model and INOWAS-map.
