INOWAS at the 5th International HYDRUS Conference in Prague, Czech Republic
The 5th International Conference "HYDRUS Software Applications to Subsurface Flow and Contaminant Transport Problems", took place at the University of Life Sciences in Prague in Czech Republic between 30-31 March 2017. The topic of the conference covered mainly new developments for the numerical unsaturated zone model HYDRUS. A contribution of the INOWAS group was made by Jana Glass as an oral presentation who showed the audience the difficulties in calibrating a HYDRUS-2D model of the laboratory experiments over time due to the occurring clogging. The conference enabled new interesting insights into numerical unsaturated zone modeling. New contacts were established regarding the evaluation of clogging in general and in specific a possibility to represent clogging in HYDRUS.
