Members of INOWAS group attended the 26th FH-DGG Symposium in Bochum, Germany
From 22 to 24 March 2018, Jana Glass, Thomas Fichtner and Fritz Kalwa represented the INOWAS group at the 26th Symposium of the Hydrogeology Division of the German Society for Geosciences (FH-DGG), which was held at the Ruhr University in Bochum. The topic of the conference was “Groundwater in the context of mining, energy and urban areas”, a topic that matches very well the research fields of our group. Among the very good presentations, the talks in the sessions “Water reuse for groundwater recharge”, “Groundwater and Climate Change”, “Quality and evaluation of groundwater models” and “Organic contaminants in groundwater” were of special interest for us. The INOWAS group contributed with three posters, two from the INOWAS project (presented by Jana and Thomas) and one from the SATPlaner project (presented by Fritz), all three receiving positive feedback from other participants. The FH-DGG Symposium allowed us to improve our contacts network and we enjoyed talking to researchers from other German institutions and representatives of private companies.
