Keynote talk at the EUTOPIA Groundwater Conference 2024 in Brussels, Belgium

Between 22-24 April 2024, Dr. Stefan was invited to give a keynote talk at the EUTOPIA Groundwater Workshop and Conference, an international event organised by the Department of Water & Climate at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and partially funded by the EUTOPIA initiative. 

EUTOPIA, as part of the European Universities Initiative, is an Alliance formed in 2019 by ten European universities (among them also TU Dresden), encouraging cooperation between higher education institutions through cross-border collaboration. The time spent in Brussels provided a great oportunity to exchange experience on the implementation of managed aquifer recharge for climate change mitigation in Europe and worldwide, and to learn more about the excellent reseach on MAR conducted at VUB under the coordination of Prof. Marijke Huysmans. Last but not least, it was great to meet our former INOWAS member Miguel Moreno, now a postdoctoral researcher at VUB in charge of organising the event, as well as making new contacts among the participants. Looking very forward to expand the collaboration with VUB on managed aquifer recharge within the EUTOPIA network and beyond.
