Leaning more about the implementation of managed aquifer recharge in Beijing, China

On 29 July 2015, after attending the 2015 International Conference on Water Resources and Environment (WRE2015) in Beijing, China, Catalin Stefan and Jinxing Guo visited the Beijing Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology. Here we met Ms. Li Zhiping (Deputy Director), Mr. Liu Jiurong (Chief Hydrogeologist), Mr. Sun Ying (Senior Engineer), and other colleagues. Mr. Jiurong described the institute's experience on MAR in Beijing and was interested in learning about the implementation of MAR in other countries. So Catalin introduced the objectives of INOWAS project and presented the preliminary results of the survey on MAR case studies in Asia. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Jin Cowan (Business Development Manager at the National Isotope Centre and Mr. Mike Friedel from GNS Science, both from New Zealand).
