Opening of the 5th International Summer School on Managed Aquifer Recharge

On 3 July 2023, our group contributed to the opening of the 5^th International Summer School on Managed Aquifer Recharge (MARISS 2023). After four previous summer schools on MAR organised by the INOWAS group at TU Dresden in 2016 and 2017 and by the Division of Water Sciences at the Dresden University of Applied Sciences in 2021 and 2022, the fifth event in the series of MAR summer schools is organised in Dresden by HTWD between 3-14 July 2023. The two-weeks course focuses on technical and non-technical aspects related to planing and operation of riverbank filtration (RBF) systems, with lectures clustered in six modules: hydraulics, well design and site selection, numerical modelling, water quality aspects, monitoring and post-treatment, regulations and guidelines. Besides the opening lecture from today, the research group INOWAS contributes with one practical training in numerical web-based modelling of MAR schemes and one lecture of MAR guidelines and regulations.
