Catalin Stefan receives the TUD Young Investigator status as junior research group leader
In the presence of the Rectorial Board, the Rector of TU Dresden, Prof. Hans Müller-Steinhagen awarded today Catalin, the INOWAS group leader, the status of "TUD Young Investigator". The new status aims at strenghtening independent junior research group leaders by fostering their integration into faculties and offering them tailored qualification programs.
Therewith, as TUD Young Investigator, Catalin:
- receives a TUD university teacher as a mentor and direct contact (in this case, Prof. Rudolf Liedl, Director of the Institute of Groundwater Management under the Faculty of Environmental Sciences),
- will be accepted by the faculty as an assessor and examiner in doctoral procedures, particularly with regard to the dissertations (co-)supervised,
- will participate in teaching,
- will be integrated in the respective faculty, including the possibility to attend public parts of Faculty Council meetings as a guest,
- will get the opportunity to take part in a range of training individually designed to address the needs of academics in this qualification phase.
