INOWAS team visits the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Mexico City

A meeting between the INOWAS group and representatives of the Engineering Institute of the National Autonomous University (IIUNAM) was organised on 28 June 2016 at the IIUNAM headquarters in the Ciudad Universitaria UNAM, Coyoacan DF, Ciudad de México. The INOWAS project and its tools were presented to IIUNAM, represented by Dr. Barrios (Environmental Sciences director I.A.) and M.Sc. Castro (Hydrogeology group).  The meeting was coordinated by the Director of the Environmental Sciences from the IIUNAM, Dr. Blanca Elena Jímenez Cisneros who is in a sabbatical year from International Hydrology Program of the UNESCO. The IIUNAM is interested in the tools that will be available on the INOWAS platform, as well as in providing a case study for saltwater intrusion. After the meeting, we also visited the IIUNAM laboratory, which is focusing on analytical charaterisation of drinking water and wastewater.
