Universität Barcelona (UPC)

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona is a university with a focus on engineering, architecture, and natural sciences. The Department of Hydrogeology is a world-leading group in groundwater management and a project partner in iNUX.

Universität Graz

Founded in 1585, the University of Graz is Austria’s second oldest university with 31,000 students and 4,300 employees. It offers 120 study programs and is internationally connected with 500 partner institutions. Uni Graz excels in research and education, focusing on societal challenges and fostering international collaboration. The university's fields of excellence include climate change, biohealth, and smart regulation, supported by thematic research networks. Uni Graz is also very active in international education, both as a partner and as a coordinating institution. The Institute of Earth Sciences is one iNUX partner.

Universität Göteborg

The University of Gothenburg addresses societal challenges through strong research and diverse study programs that attract global scientists and students. Environmentally certified, the university actively promotes sustainable development. With eight faculties, 38 departments, and extensive research centers, it is a hub for academia and industry. With 49,000 students and 6,000 staff, it is one of Northern Europe's largest universities, contributing to a better future through knowledge and innovation. The Hydrogeology group at the Department of Earth Sciences is a cooperation partner in iNUX.

Project partners

The partnership is formed by four leading European institutions with regard to the subject of Hydrogeology and groundwater management. The consortium is built up by leading institutions with excellent experience and scientific reputation.

The Institute of Groundwater Management at TU Dresden initiated the consortium based on successful long-term cooperation with the other partners. The overall project idea of conceptualizing, generating, and implementing innovative digital teaching material was already initiated by cooperation between TU Dresden and the University of Gothenburg. This initial effort is increased by

adding complementary partners to the consortium (Graz and Barcelona),
significantly increasing the quantity of the learning material,
structure and generalize the effort to conceptualize and generate teaching material,
establish and initially manage platforms to share the open-source material.

The project partners are complemented by interested colleagues from their respective professional networks.
