Funding and support

The registered non-profit association was founded in 1994. It supports the teaching and research of the chairs:

• Urban Water Management (Waste Water Treatment and Urban Hydrology),
• Process Engineering in Hydro Systems and
• Water Supply.

The registered association supports especially:

• Meetings, that are conducive to the advanced training in Urban and Industrial Water Management, especially the Dresden colloquium for Urban Water Management

• Publications of scientific work and papers; in particular publications in the series “Dresdner Berichte” (Dresden reports)

• Student’s field trips for a clearer understanding of knowledge that has been taught in lectures, tutorials and practical sessions

• Scientific work, e.g. granting scholarships for eligible junior researchers.

Furthermore we support:

• the meeting of the institutes of RTWH Aachen University, University of Stuttgart, University of Vienna and TU Dresden

• meeting of PhD candidates of EAWAG, CTU (Czech Technical University in Prague) and TU Dresden

• selected student events

Since 2002 the association awards the Karl-Franz-Busch-Medal for outstanding student achievements in water management.
