New helium isotope laboratory for groundwater dating
CSIRO Helium Isotope Mass Spectrometer Facility (Adelaide, Australia)
As part of the EFRE funding project 'Utilization potentials of groundwater in Saxony' (SaxUP-Water/RI for the research infrastructure and SaxUP-Water/P for the associated project), a new helium isotope laboratory for groundwater dating can be set up at the Institute of Groundwater Management from January 2026 to December 2027. Thus, one of the few large-scale equipment systems of this kind worldwide will be established and operated in Dresden.
