The Sense4Fire project(https://sense4fire.eu/) funded by the European Space Agency ESA has been extended for a third project period of another 18 months until December 2026. The project was previously funded with 700,000 euros, now another 500,000 euros will be provided. In the project extension, the scientists of the Junior Professorship in Environmental Remote Sensing will now quantify fire dynamics, fuel moisture and fire emissions at high spatial resolution (20 m) for the continent of Africa.
