Tag der Hydrologie 2027

The Tag der Hydrologie 2027 is being organized by the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) and is scheduled to take place March 22–24 at the Kubus in Leipzig. The theme of this year’s conference is “Water Resources in Transition: From Analysis to Concrete Solutions.”

The Tag der Hydroloogie 2027 offers a platform for the scientific community, water management, government agencies, and practitioners to exchange the latest research findings, discuss innovative solutions, and jointly develop strategies for sustainable and climate-resilient water management. Key topics include:

• Changing Landscape Water Balance: How are the diverse influences of global change—particularly climate, land use, and demographics—altering the landscape water balance, water availability, and hydrological extremes?
• Water Quality & Ecology: What are the consequences of these changes for surface waters, groundwater, and aquatic ecosystems, and how can they be assessed?
• Solutions for sustainable water security: What measures and strategies strengthen water security, and how can scientific findings be translated into practice and water resource management?
