Dipl.-Ing. Jürgen Stoffregen
Mr. Stoffregen studied automotive engineering and combustion engines at the Technische Hochschule Braunschweig. He joined the BMW AG in 1983 as a test engineer in car engine development. Since 1985, he is active in the motorcycle department in various functions. Among other things he was responsible for development steps on various 4 cylinder and boxer engines as well as on vehicle projects.
Further career positions at BMW Motorrad included quality management and a 6-year career as Head of Communications Motorcycle (press spokesman).
From 2011 to 2018, he was responsible for cooperation projects at BMW Motorrad in overall vehicle development.
He is a lecturing tutor for motorcycle technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich since 1987 and held various lectures at conferences of the VDI on the subject of motorcycle development. He first published the textbook "Motorradtechnik" (publisher Springer Vieweg) in 1995, the 9th and fully revised edition was published in 2018.
The Motorcycle Engineering lecture at the Technical University of Dresden was first held in 2007 and 2008.
He has an active motorcycle practice for more than 35 years.
