Yihui Wang experiences Dresden tram operations from a new perspective

Prof. Dr. Yihui Wang, holder of the Chair of Public Transport, experienced Dresden’s public transport system from a special perspective: at the controls of a tram.
Together with Dipl.-Ing. Steffen Dutsch, she visited the tram depot in Trachenberge. The team from Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe (DVB) welcomed the visitors and introduced Prof. Wang to the vehicle and the basic procedures involved in operating it.
The subsequent trip in a training tram provided first-hand insights into everyday operations, particularly the interaction between the driver, the vehicle, the infrastructure and surrounding traffic.
“It was a truly interesting and memorable experience. I am very grateful for the time, support and guidance I received throughout the visit. It was a great pleasure to learn more about tram operations from a practical perspective,” said Yihui Wang.
