Conference "Electronic Data Preparation for Signalling"
Table of contents
Railroads have not only been using electric vehicles for over 100 years, but have also been able to do so automatically for decades - achievements that are now celebrated as revolutionary in other modes of transport. Not only train control, but also track safety, including control technology, have played a major role in automation. The first step in this direction was the automatic block, which was initially used by urban rapid transit systems due to their frequent intervals. Many developments followed, which are still used to automate rail operations today.
Current developments in the IT and mobile communications sector are opening up completely new possibilities: Each switch its own IP address! And the next stage of automation on the railroads is imminent: automated driving without a driver no longer seems as far away as was thought 10 years ago.
So what next for rail automation? Will dispatchers perhaps even become superfluous? The 23rd symposium will deal with these current topics.

Venue
TU Dresden, Potthoff-Bau, lecture hall POT 81, entrance Fritz-Förster-Platz (near the entrance to the BioMensa "U-Boot") Travel description
As there are hardly any parking spaces on campus, we recommend traveling by public transport (conveniently located: Bus stop "Technische Universität", also possible: streetcar stop "Nürnberger Platz").
Excursion and evening event
Before dinner in the popular Wenzel Prager Bierstuben, a guided tour of the city or a technical excursion is offered as an alternative. The excursion leads to the Mathematical-Physical Salon of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden (Dresden State Art Collections) and is organized in several groups, which start at different times. Please make sure you belong to your group!
Registration
The organizational and commercial handling is carried out by the CERSS Competence Center Railway Safety Technology. Registration, which takes place exclusively online, is complete. Subsequent registrations are not possible; the event is fully booked! Any commercially necessary written orders should be addressed to:
