Exchange with Polish university lecturers on innovative teaching concepts

On November 19 and 21, 2024, the Chair of Railway Signaling and Transport Safety Technology welcomed two guests from the University of Economics in Katowice (UEK): Prof. Jacek Szołtysek and Dr. Rafał Otręba from the Department of Social Logistics. Their visit focused on the exchange of innovative teaching methods and the further development of contemporary approaches in university teaching. The guests had the opportunity to attend courses at the TU, including the lecture "Water Transport Systems" by Dr. Heyer and "Mathematics III" by Dr. Martinovics. In addition to observing the lectures, the guests held intensive discussions with teaching staff and students to discuss ideas for a teaching development project. The aim is to use modern methods in teaching that meet the expectations and needs of "Generation Z".
