Chinese railway students on an excursion to Germany

At the end of August, a group of Chinese students from Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) traveled through Germany on a technical excursion. The excursion was initiated by the Chair of Railway Signaling and Transport Safety Technology and organized in cooperation with the Chair of Railways. The 20 participants visited the Friedrich List Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences as well as several excursion destinations in Germany, including:

• the German Museum of Technology and Berlin Central Station
• the Chemnitz Model of the Central Saxony Transport Association in Chemnitz
• the transport-related laboratories of the Friedrich List Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences
• the DB InfraGO operations center in Leipzig
• the Fichtelbergbahn and the suspension railroad in Oberwiesenthal
• the construction site of the Digital Node Stuttgart

The program enabled the students to deepen their theoretical knowledge in a practical way, gain insights into current developments and increase their enjoyment of learning.
