Distance education works!

Starting with the autumn term, university teaching at the Department of Railway Signalling and Transport Safety Technology has been converted into distance education. Today's distace courses take advantage of all the experience in e-learning and e-teaching already being gathered over years. Honouring the huge effort and the instructor's success of reorganising courses into the new shape, students responded in a downright positive way.

Even future semesters will benefit from the given demanding epidemic siuation in terms of at least parts of the electronic distance education to be re-used later on. Contemplating on this trend, traditional educational forms are expected to lose significance. Instructors will more and more have to shift their responsibility towards moderating the process of learning and assisting the students.
