Objective
On completion of the course, participants should have in-depth knowledge of ETCS system functions and have developed an understanding of core functions and system components. Participants should have knowledge of the special operational features of using ETCS and be able to deduce the effects on railroad operations. They will also be familiar with the effects and possible influences of ETCS on track capacity.
Target group
The course is aimed at project managers and project engineers.
Prerequisites for participation
Participants should have basic knowledge of control and safety technology and train control.
Scope and methods
We offer the course as a face-to-face and e-learning course.
The classroom course comprises seminar-style lectures and demonstrations on the ETCS simulation system in the safety laboratory and in the railroad operations laboratory, which take place over 3 days.
Our e-learning course consists of synchronous and asynchronous lectures, live chats, video sequences as well as self-tests and forums for participants' questions and is held over 3 consecutive days.
