Research group Integrated Reporting <IR> of our chair in the international exchange

Our research associates Stephan Fuhrmann and Michael Graßmann are working since 3 years together with Prof. Thomas Günther within the research area of Integrated Reporting that gains rising attention within research and practice. Driven by the increasing complexity of business models and value creation processes, integrated disclosures on non-financial and financial value creation aspects gain societal and economic importance.

As part of our research projects at the chair,  Michael Graßmann and Stephan Fuhrmann got the opportunity to present a working paper and to discuss their thoughts and work with a variety of highly recognized scholars at international renowned conferences.

Michael Graßmann attended the conference "EUFIN 2017" from 31st August to 1st September 2017 in Florence. Hereby, he had the possibility to present a working paper on the empirical disclosure behavior of companies within integrated reports followed by an enriching exchange amongst others with the internationally recognized scholars in the area of disclosures Prof. Haller and Prof. Kajüter. Besides these talks, discussions with a variety of scholars allowed for improving current ideas. Overall, the working papers of our chair gained a lot of attention.

Stephan Fuhrmann attended the conference "13th interdisciplinary workshop on intangibles and intellectual capital: Value creation, integrated reporting and governance" from 21st to 22nd September 2017 in Ancona. At this conference, the results of our research projects gained a lot of interest, too. After presenting a working paper on Integrated Reporting, Stephan Fuhrmann got the chance for an enriching exchange of ideas with the internationally recognized researchers within the area of Integrated Reporting Prof. Dumay and Prof. Guthrie. Additionally, the conference allowed for a lot of new contacts and inspiring ideas from a high number of key notes and presentations.

The chair would like to thank the conference organizers for the excellent conferences, all conference participants for the enriching exchanges and acknowledges the international appeal of the work of our research group on Integrated Reporting.
