Research seminar of the Master/Diploma students 2019 at castle Hohnstein
As an established tradition of the chair, this year’s master- and diploma research seminar took place at the castle in Hohnstein in the Saxon Switzerland. The aim of this seminar is to involve the students in the research of the chair and to prepare them for their master's or diploma thesis. In this sense, it was the task of the students to write a scientific paper under supervision of an associate of the chair. At Hohnstein, the students presented the results of their research in the form of a seminar followed by an intensive discussion of the investigated topic. In order to open this course for as many students as possible, the research seminar was offered in two groups. From April 9th to 10th, the first group focusing on management control went to Hohnstein and from April 16th to 17th the second group with the focus on disclosure and value-based management conducted the seminar.
Besides the professional exchange, the program consisted of a hike in the sunshine through the Saxon Switzerland and a barbecue in the evening. The chair wants to thank the company LineUpr, which was used for the first time in organizing this event and was received very positively by the participants. Furthermore, big thanks goes to the employees of “Burg Hohnstein” for their once again great hospitality.
Finally, the chair wishes all students success for their thesis and thanks them for the successful event.
