Trip to Asia

At the invitation of the Kobe University, Japan and the National Chengchi University, Taipeh, Taiwan, Prof. Guenther spent exciting days in Asia. In Osaka the results of a study about Management Accounting and Control and Environmental Management and their interfaces, that Prof. Guenther conducted together with his Japanese colleagues in Japan as well as in Germany amongst the 2,000 biggest companies, have been presented to participating companies, interested researchers and other companies.

In Hiroshima Prof. Guenther and his Japanese colleagues could see the redesign of production processes according to the Family Target Costing and Process Standardizing Principle. At the Japanese Accounting Association Conference in Hiroshima Prof. Kokubu and Prof. Guenther reported the first results of the Measurement of Environmental Management Control Systems in german companies.

Lastly, at the National Chengchi University in Taipeh, Taiwan, Prof. Guenther presented findings of a study about product development, that was conducted together with Marc Janka. Additionally he spoke about working in science and practice and answered questions about it during a workshop with PhD students.
