Research Projects

Our institute looks back on 25 research projects - both externally funded and budget-financed - since 1996. Some could build bridges between various fields of science as well as between the TUD and universities of other nations through their interdisciplinary and/or international character.

Founded in 1990 as "Zeitschrift für Planung und Unternehmenssteuerung" (ZP), it has been appearing as "Journal of Management Control" (JoMaC ) since 2011 in the course of the internationalization of the scientific community. Co-editor is Prof. Dr. Thomas Günther.

Our research refers to:

  • the design, use, and implementation of management control systems (e. g., strategic planning, budgeting, performance measurement systems, incentive systems)
  • the measurement, evaluation, and control of non-financial  and intangible resources (e. g., human capital, innovation capital, customer capital, relational capital, natural resources and the environment)
  • the determinants and consequences of voluntary disclosure of non-financial and intangible resources
