Philipp Hauser among the three best Ph.D. theses of 2022.
The former member of the chair and alumni, Dr. Philipp Hauser, was invited to the final symposium of the annual GEE Award December 2nd, 2022 and is therefore ranked one of the three best Ph.D. theses of the year 2022!
In his Ph.D. thesis, Hauser presents a model-based analysis of the diversification of the German and European gas import. This is a topic which is meanwhile strongly discussed and is present on many levels due to the current political situation. However, it should be emphasized that Hauser formulated his conclusions before the current energy crisis and through this work we can see the important role which scientific work plays for decision makers in business and politics.
Together with Dr. Sarah Henni (KIT) and Dr. Emil Kraft (KIT), he was onvited to present his work during the final symposium and to discuss the critical questions of the jury and the participants.
The GEE Prize of the Energy Forum Berlin has been awarded since 2002 by the Gesellschaft für Energiewissenschaft und Energiepolitik e.V. (Society for Energy Science and Energy Policy, the German Chapter of the International Association of Energy Economics) for academic papers in the context of energy.
We congratulate Dr. Philipp Hauser for this outstanding and great achievement!
