Feodor Lynen Fellowship for Prof. Möst
Prof. Dr. Dominik Möst is currently staying at the University of Edinburgh after having been awarded as Feodor Lynen Research Fellow for experienced researchers from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. In Edinburgh, Prof. Möst has initiated a research partnership with Prof. Dr. Miguel Anjos, holder of the Chair of Operational Research at the School of Mathematics and also Humboldt fellow.
The joint research will bring out new approaches in energy system analysis based on mathematical optimization. Prof. Möst’s research focusses on hybrid and multimodal energy systems, especially for the transformation and operation of electricity and gas networks. He is especially interested in developing and applying energy system models to these areas, as well as employing methods of techno-economic and environmental analysis, in order to answer diverse research questions related to the uptake and integration of renewable energies.
In providing Feodor Lynen Research Fellowships for experienced researchers, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables highly-qualified scientists and scholars from Germany to spend extended periods of research abroad. Fellows have their own, clearly defined and excellent academic profile (source: http://www.humboldt-foundation.de/)
