Lisa Lorenz and Hannes Hobbie Virtually Participated as Tutorial Speakers at the 2024 IEEE 11th Power India International Conference
The Chair of Energy Economics at TU Dresden maintains strong international ties with scientific partners in energy systems analysis. As part of these collaborations, a successful funding application was secured last year through the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to support bilateral mobility with the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur in India. The application was spearheaded by Dr. Hannes Hobbie, with support from Dimitrios Glynos and Lisa Lorenz (Chair of Energy Economics, TU Dresden), as well as Prof. Dr. Rohit Bhakar and Ajay Kumar Verma (Electrical Engineering Department, MNIT Jaipur).
Building on this collaboration, Lisa Lorenz and Hannes Hobbie had the privilege of delivering a 90-minute tutorial session on "Modelling Market Equilibria in Liberalised Electricity Systems in Light of European System Developments" at the 2024 IEEE 11th Power India International Conference. The session provided valuable insights into the theoretical underpinnings and practical implementation of market equilibrium models, offering participants an in-depth perspective on developments in electricity market design and modelling.
We sincerely thank our colleagues at MNIT Jaipur and the organisers of the Power India International Conference for this enriching opportunity. We look forward to continuing our fruitful collaboration and deepening our exchange on-site in 2025!
