New STREEBIO research project - kick-off meeting in Leipzig

1 January 2025 marked the start of the new research project "Potentials for electricity market revenues including emissions trading and EEG for bioenergy plants" (STREEBIO). This third-party funded project, which is funded as part of the "Sustainable Renewable Resources" program, is being carried out by the Chair of Energy Economics at TU Dresden together with the project partner Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum gGmbH (DBFZ). The project sponsor is the Agency for Renewable Resources.

The kick-off meeting took place on January 22, 2025 on the premises of the DBFZ in Leipzig. During the meeting, the foundation was laid for project work by agreeing on the biomass reference plants to be investigated, the scenario framework and the data interfaces between the project partners.
