Optimisation in modern electricity markets
Modern electricity markets require decision-making in complex techno-economic systems, often under uncertainty, whether it be in the optimal clearing of various sub-markets, setting optimal bidding strategies and investments, or implementing efficient regulations. In this course, advanced optimization techniques are taught through selected case studies to tackle key challenges in the electricity sector. The skills learned will prepare students for a wide range of career paths in the energy industry and other areas where complex decision-making is required.
