Honors for top graduates at TU Dresden

On Friday, December 1, 2023, our employee Paul Päprer was honored as one of the best graduates of the Construction and Environment department. The Vice-Rector of Education, Prof. Dr. Michael Kobel, presented the certificate in a festive event. The entire Industrial Management team would like to congratulate him!

In his diploma thesis, which was awarded the top grade of 1.0, Mr. Päprer addressed optimization problems in rail transport. Using the column generation method, he solves real circulation planning problems of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). Important restrictions from practice are taken into account, and interdependencies of decisive objective criteria are examined.

We would also like to congratulate our two graduates, Julius Hoffmann, and Jasmin Kühn, who were also honored for their outstanding degrees.
