Insight into practice
At the end of the lecture Operative Production Management in the summer semester of 2023, there was an insight into production planning at Krones, the world market leader, and specialist for filling and packaging technology in the beverage industry. Last year, Krones achieved a turnover of more than four billion euros. Actually, the topic of sustainability is moving into the strategic focus of corporate development.
Susanne Denzin (former graduate of the Industrial Engineering and Management course at TU Dresden) and Franziska Feniger from the "Supply Chain Management Filling Technology" department presented the planning tasks that arise from the preparation of quotations to the delivery of complete filling systems. The planning tools used were presented live.
