Last week, we celebrated the successful completion of our colleague Florian Linß's doctorate. He defended his dissertation on “Real-world vehicle routing in logistics: Models, algorithms, and applications” on 09.06.2026 and presented interesting insights from his research work during his presentation.
We would like to congratulate him on this great success and wish him all the best for the future!

Professor Buscher then presented him with his doctoral hat, which aptly combined his research interests in route planning and integrated load optimization with his leisure activities of rowing and road cycling.

The day came to a close with a tandem bike ride across campus in a lively atmosphere—accompanied by the cheerful clinking of cans and numerous congratulations.
